Nothing Is Wasted Ministries (“Nothing Is Wasted,” “NIW,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you register for, access, or participate in the Nothing Is Wasted online community (the “Community”).
Because the Community is designed to provide connection, encouragement, resources, and support for people navigating pain, loss, trauma, tragedy, and major life transitions, members may choose to share deeply personal information as part of their participation. We want you to understand both how Nothing Is Wasted handles your information and the responsibilities that come with participating in an online community.
By registering for or using the Community, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We may collect information you provide when you create an account, register for the Community, communicate with us, purchase a membership or resource, participate in Community activities, or otherwise interact with Nothing Is Wasted.
This may include:

Account or profile information
Profile photo, if provided
Billing or transaction-related information
Membership information
Communications you send to Nothing Is Wasted
Responses to forms, surveys, assessments, or questionnaires
Community posts, comments, replies, messages, and other content you choose to share

2. SENSITIVE INFORMATION YOU CHOOSE TO SHARE
The Nothing Is Wasted Community exists in part to provide meaningful connection for people navigating difficult life circumstances.
As a result, members may voluntarily choose to share information that is personal or sensitive, including information concerning grief, loss, trauma, relationships, family circumstances, emotional well-being, physical health, spiritual questions, abuse, betrayal, or other difficult experiences.
You are never required to disclose sensitive personal information in order to participate in the Community unless we specifically tell you that certain information is required for a particular service.
Please carefully consider what you choose to share.
Information posted in Community spaces may be visible to other members who have access to that space. While Nothing Is Wasted establishes expectations regarding confidentiality and respectful participation, we cannot guarantee that another Community member will keep information you share confidential.
For this reason, please do not post information you would not want another Community member to see or know.
3. COMMUNITY POSTS AND CONVERSATIONS
Content you voluntarily post or share within the Community may be accessible to other Community members depending upon the settings and permissions of the particular Community space.
This may include:
Posts
Comments and replies
Discussion responses
Prayer requests
Personal stories
Photos or other media
Group discussions
Other member-generated content
Nothing Is Wasted may access, review, moderate, or remove Community content when reasonably necessary to administer the Community, enforce Community guidelines, protect members, respond to reports or safety concerns, comply with law, or maintain the integrity of the Community.
Nothing Is Wasted will not sell your private Community posts or personal stories to third parties.
We will not publicly use or publish your personal story, testimony, photograph, or identifiable Community content for marketing or promotional purposes without appropriate permission from you.
4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We may use information we collect to:
Create and administer your Community account
Provide access to Community resources, courses, discussions, groups, events, or other membership benefits
Communicate with you about your account or membership
Process payments and transactions
Provide customer support
Personalize and improve the Community experience
Moderate Community conversations and enforce Community guidelines
Protect the safety, security, and integrity of the Community
Understand how members use our services
Improve Nothing Is Wasted programs, resources, and offerings
Send ministry, Community, or marketing communications where permitted by law

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand trends and improve our ministry, programs, and resources. When information is aggregated or de-identified, we will take reasonable steps to avoid identifying individual members.
5. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
Nothing Is Wasted does not sell your personal information.
We may share information with trusted third-party service providers that help us operate the Community and our ministry, such as providers of:
Community and membership platforms
Website hosting
Email communications
Payment processing
Customer relationship management
Analytics
Forms and surveys
Automation and integrations
Technical support
These providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, governmental requests, enforce our agreements or policies, investigate suspected fraud or abuse, or protect the rights, safety, or property of Nothing Is Wasted, our members, or others.
6. SAFETY AND SERIOUS CONCERNS
Nothing Is Wasted values the privacy of Community members. However, participation in the Community should not be understood as creating a legally privileged or professionally confidential relationship.
The Community is not psychotherapy, medical care, emergency care, legal representation, or another licensed professional service unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific service.
If information comes to our attention that causes us to reasonably believe disclosure may be required by law or necessary to respond to an immediate and serious safety concern, we may take appropriate action consistent with applicable law.
7. MEMBER-TO-MEMBER CONFIDENTIALITY
The strength of this Community depends in part upon members treating one another's stories with care.
We expect Community members not to copy, screenshot, record, reproduce, distribute, publish, or share another member's personal story, post, comment, prayer request, photograph, or other Community content outside the Community without that person's permission.
However, Nothing Is Wasted cannot guarantee that every Community member will comply with these expectations.
You are responsible for deciding what information you feel comfortable sharing in an online Community environment.
Our Community Guidelines or Terms of Participation may establish additional confidentiality expectations and consequences for members who violate them.
8. THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS
The Community and related Nothing Is Wasted services may be provided through third-party technology platforms.
When you use those platforms, information may also be processed according to the privacy policies and terms of those providers.
Nothing Is Wasted encourages you to review the privacy practices of any third-party platform through which you access our services.
9. PAYMENT INFORMATION
If you purchase a paid Community membership or other Nothing Is Wasted resource, payment information may be collected and processed by a third-party payment processor.
Nothing Is Wasted may receive transaction information such as your name, contact information, purchase amount, membership status, and transaction history, but we may not directly receive or store your complete payment-card information.
10. EMAIL AND COMMUNICATIONS
We may use your contact information to send communications related to your account, Community participation, purchases, ministry resources, events, programs, and other Nothing Is Wasted offerings.
Where required, you may unsubscribe from promotional emails by using the unsubscribe option included in those communications.
Certain administrative or transactional communications may still be necessary while you maintain an active account or membership.
11. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, operate the Community, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal and financial obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Community content may remain within our systems or backups for a period of time after an account is closed or content is deleted.
12. DATA SECURITY
Nothing Is Wasted takes reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information.
However, no website, online platform, database, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to or stored through the Community.
13. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES
Depending on applicable law and the functionality of the Community platform, you may be able to:
Review or update certain account information
Change certain profile information
Delete certain content you have posted
Adjust communication preferences
Request access to certain personal information
Request correction or deletion of certain personal information
Request closure of your Community account
Certain information may need to be retained where required or permitted by law or for legitimate administrative purposes.

14. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Community is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information through the Community from children under 18 without appropriate authorization.
If specific Nothing Is Wasted programs are offered to minors, additional registration requirements, parental or guardian consent, privacy practices, or terms may apply to those programs.
15. STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights concerning their personal information under applicable state privacy laws.
Depending upon where you live and whether the applicable law applies to Nothing Is Wasted, these rights may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information concerning certain uses or disclosures of personal information.
Nothing Is Wasted will honor applicable privacy rights as required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically as our Community, technology, ministry, or legal obligations change.

MEMBER PRIVACY ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By creating an account and joining the Nothing Is Wasted Community, I acknowledge that:
I have read and understand the Nothing Is Wasted Ministries Online Community Privacy Policy.
I understand that information I voluntarily post in Community spaces may be visible to other members with access to those spaces.
I understand that Nothing Is Wasted cannot guarantee that another Community member will keep information I voluntarily share confidential.
I agree to respect the privacy of other Community members and not share, screenshot, record, publish, or distribute another member's personal Community content outside the Community without permission.
I understand that Nothing Is Wasted may moderate Community content and take reasonable action when necessary for safety, legal compliance, or enforcement of Community policies.
