Loss of Child, Grief, Family Impact

Zack Parrish has spent many years mentoring, coaching, and leading support groups through his church and other community organizations. He has walked alongside countless individuals through their own challenges, offering encouragement, faith, and a steady presence.

Zack has been married to his wife, Cris, for over 40 years. Together, they have four children and soon-to-be nine grandchildren. Their immediate family has grown to 19 and counting—a source of deep joy and connection.

On December 31, 2017, their lives changed forever. Their son, Zack, a police officer in Denver, Colorado, was ambushed during a domestic violence call and tragically lost his life. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, and father. His loss left a profound and lasting impact on Zack’s life and the lives of their entire family.

Through this unimaginable grief, Zack has found a renewed sense of purpose. He continues to pursue healing and offers his story, faith, and experience to help others navigate loss, find hope, and move forward with purpose.
