Melissa Swanson

Melissa is passionate about helping others discover healing and growth in the very story they never would have chosen. As a Certified Trauma Coach, she gently walks alongside others through their darkest valleys, offering presence, understanding, and Christ-centered care. Her personal journey through profound grief—becoming a widow at 39 and a single mom to four children after her husband’s three-year battle with esophageal cancer—has given her deep empathy and insight.

Throughout that sacred season, she learned the art of lament, the beauty of living with open hands, and the sustaining presence of God even in sorrow. Her approach to coaching is rooted in the belief that true hope and healing can be found in Jesus and in safe, Spirit-led community.

With over two decades of experience as a registered nurse and lactation consultant, she brings both a nurturing presence and a practical understanding of the body’s response to trauma. Today, life is full—caring for her three boys still at home, cheering on her college-aged daughter, and delighting in long walks, gardening, and home-cooked meals with plenty of garlic.

She considers it a sacred honor to walk with others through their pain and help them discover the redemptive thread God is weaving through it all.
